Our name, inspired by the Yupik term meaning "to fly by supernatural means," encapsulates our vision. Our unmanned aircraft, soaring autonomously, embodies this concept of otherworldly flight, revolutionizing the way goods are delivered.
OUR ROOTS

Our journey is deeply rooted in our CEO Ben Pedersen's experiences in Alaska's rural villages, where air travel is not just a convenience, but a lifeline. Living in these remote areas, Ben witnessed first-hand the vital role of aviation, albeit with its inherent risks and high costs.
The reality of aviation here was stark: the reliance on human pilots meant grappling with limitations like fatigue, regulatory rest requirements, and the need for pilot-centric aircraft design. These factors not only elevated risks but also increased the operational costs, burdening communities with high prices for essential goods.

TURNING POINT

The turning point came from a personal and profound experience: the loss of several pilots and friends in aviation accidents, often while providing or utilizing essential air services under challenging conditions. These tragedies were the catalyst for a transformative idea—what if we could make air services in high-risk areas safer, more efficient, and affordable, offering solutions to the communities that need them the most?
MISSION

Luumar aim's to eliminate the risks associated with traditional air delivery methods by employing unmanned aircraft. These advanced unmanned aircraft are designed to handle challenging deliveries and aerial application without endangering human lives. Our technology not only ensures safety but also drastically reduces the costs associated with air transport, making essential goods and services more accessible and affordable for remote communities.
FUTURE
Luumar is committed to more sustainable, and efficient air delivery solutions. We're here to change the landscape of air transport, one unmanned flight at a time, ensuring no life is risked for the sake of convenience.
